Coming to the streets of Obs for the first time, please welcome our Afroboratory Stage! Named after the theme for AfrikaBurn 2020, this will be an experimental stage – and first announce from the stage is none less than IJOHN! In the words of Alchemy Session host Mark Mwaba: “Ijohns’ live performance is a must see – it’s a high energy extravaganza of rhymes, flows and melodies accompanied by exciting beats, beautiful singing voices and epic stage presence.” Catch him on the Afroboratory Stage from 15:30 – 16:15!

If you’ve been to AfrikaBurn, chances are you’d have caught this act on the Off-Centre Camp Stage – and we have the pleasure of wamkelekile’ing them right back to the streets of Obs! They are the amazing Bandless, they drop deeply infectious grooves – and you’ll be able to catch them on the Afroboratory Stage at 1:30pm. Thank you to Hlubi, Sibusiso and Sandile for joining us again, and for this shot of them in Tankwa Town.

Soulititude & hip hop performance
